CPM is based in London and was originally set up in 1988 under the name Carlin Recorded Music Library. As an independent label it quickly gained a reputation for the wide range of musical genres covered and high production standards that could only come from top studio recordings. Some of the best UK musicians and orchestras feature. In 2010, Warner/Chappell bought Carlin and from this point onwards the name CPM was introduced.
Twenty three years on, this ethos continues and now based in the heart of Soho, this comprehensive and highly regarded catalogue continues to build and grow with many high quality and cutting edge projects.
CPM is made up of over 450 individual albums, more than 15000 unique titles and is comprised of three series. In the rapidly expanding Main Series (CAR prefix) we commission the UK’s premier composers, including recordings from the world famous Abbey Road and Air Lyndhurst studios. You’ll find recordings by Hal David, David Arnold, Ben Wallfisch, The Slips and The Easy Access Orchestra. The best possible contemporary content continues to be created.
