Meet The Team – Steve Hayes

For this month’s Meet the Team, we stay down in Music City and chat with Director of Licensing, Steve Hayes. Steve may not look like it, but he is a master shredder on the guitar! Interesting fact about Steve is he plays in an 80’s cover band called Rubiks Groove, and dresses up like Robocop when they take the stage! His stage name is RoboChops, and if you don’t believe us then check out this video!

What are your top 3 favorite Warner/Chappell Production Music tracks?

Ah dude, this is virtually impossible, because I’ve come to love so many tracks over the years. But as of today, If i had to take a snap shot, I’d have to say “Ain’t Worth Your Wait” by The Delta Routine from Midcoast Music Artist Songs, “Omnipotence” from Scoring Stage and “Fresh Start” from Non-Stop Producer Series.

What is your favorite part of your job?

Serving the clients as their creative partner and resource with the end goal of making them look like rock stars. Also, I totally love going through the creative phases of a project and then seeing and hearing the finished product on TV, web or in the theater for the first time.

What is your favorite vacation spot?

The 30-A area of the Emerald Coast in Florida. I’ve been taking my family down there on vacation for many years and we have just fallen in love with the area.

What is your favorite album of all time? You can only choose one.

Hmmm, well, the album that first inspired me to pick up a guitar and rock was Frampton Comes Alive by Peter Frampton. Peter’s playing and the live energy is still absolutely electric.
